E-5030 Start-up sieve / type VAS
General information
The VAS start-up strainer is used for commissioning and starting up a system in order to clean gas from coarse contamination such as welding beads, scale, grease, etc. After start-up, the start-up strainer can be removed from the pipeline. The design is a welded construction.
Function
The VAS start-up screen consists of a support basket made of perforated sheet metal with a welded-on clamping ring. These are galvanized after assembly. A stainless steel wire mesh is welded to the outside of the support cage. The dimensions of the free surface of the clamping ring are matched to the nominal widths of the pipe flange connection. In the standard version, the flow through the start-up strainer is from the outside to the inside. An optional version of the start-up strainer made entirely of stainless steel or with a different flow direction is available on request.
